This article reminds me of how everyone seems to think the USD is on the way out as the world reserve currency while nothing could be further from the truth. Sometimes people hope to see the end of the status quo so badly that they convince themselves that their delusions are true.
- baryphonic 3y agoLyin' ChatGPT being a replacement for Google is about as credible as a BRICS reserve currency. The analogy checks out.
- IAmGraydon 3y agoThere's an overarching theme in the world today of the existing power structures being challenged by new power hopefuls. It almost never works out in favor of the new power, however. It doesn't stop the hopefuls from engaging their cognitive biases, and reality distortion soon follows.
