But one of the things that really helped me decide if a service was important is when you cancel a service- delete the app a few days before the subscription is set to expire. If you need the app before the expiration, then it's probably a service you want. If not then it's out of view and it could be a month or more before you even want to use it. But really it comes down to having a budget and keeping track of your expenses. Subscription can be easy to forget but if you don't keep track, larger more damaging charges can slip through.
