How is that legal? Seems like a blatant bait and switch

  The deal was a 2-year contract for a phone. They aren't going to renew any contracts when they run the full-term. Nobody was going to get the new upgraded phone without renewing for another 2 years. It's their right to not want to renew on a deal that wasn't working out for them. You might be able to claim they made promises about the longevity of the program in order to get you to sign up but Google will say the terms were pretty clear and they delivered on the contract. It'd be an uphill battle, but maybe there'll be a class-action
