Us-West-1: The Flagship AWS Region That Isn’t
- PaulHoule 3y agoI moved most of my stuff to us-east-2 because it saves 20ms of latency to the Ithaca, NY area relative to us-east-1. I noticed that when I was playing Titanfall and Azure had servers in that area before AWS did. us-east-1 seems to go down more often, I'm kinda glad I had a single AZ deployment there because I had a 3/4 chance of having no stress at and an occasional day of downtime (not much stress because I have faith it will come back) as opposed to more often stressing it taking remedial actions for the missing AZ.
