Ask HN: If a country gets on the bad side of US, what all tech it can lose?
With the recent Russia-Ukraine war got me thinking how many of these global companies are American first when appropriate time. The stakes were high this time but the boycott could be used as a tool in future for much lower stakes.
Is there a protection against it in other countries?
Will AWS, Teams, Google, PayPal, Twitter stop working? What other critical services run by American corp can be at risk?

- PaulHoule 3y agoLook at Iran and North Korea for case studies of countries that have been under boycott for a long time. Personally though if Teams and X went away I wouldn't miss 'em.
