Have you guys thought about domain name randomization? Other temp email sites regularly rotate domains to circumvent websites blacklisting known temporary email sites. Or is Firefox relay for a different use case that doesn't care about domain blocking?
- Vinnl 3y agoYes, that and a couple of other strategies are on our list of options to try in the never-ending journey to not get added to blocklists. That said, we have also seen success reaching out to website and blocklist compilers to get us delisted - we have an assortment of anti-abuse measures, and a different use case from true temporary email providers, that often make that successful. (Case in point: in practice I don't actually delete my email masks all that often, and thus they aren't actually temporary. The main protection is against data leaks and having a persistent identifier that allows my data at different services to be linked together.)
