Google leaked Google’s flagship Pixel 8 Pro, again
- thesuperbigfrog 3y agoGoogle's "leaks" generate hype and let consumers start to build their holiday gift lists.
- desi_ninja 3y agoIt's not as wallet melting costly as other phones like iPhone and Samsung, atleast in the US.
- LordShredda 3y agoWhat's the point of leaks if we all know they release a new phone every year? The foldable phone leaks were exciting because no one expected them, but this? However I do like the color, nicer than the typical black/white
- hgsgm 3y ago"Leaks" are a cheap way to start marketing and get feedback on prospective customer sentiment. If it were an official marketing release, management would feel compelled to build up much more marketing material around it.
- throw9away6 3y agoUnless it leaks blue chat boxes it has an uphill battle
- lambda_garden 3y agoCould be getting ahead of the next iPhone announcement
- rambojohnson 3y agoblah blah "leaked" as in more cannon fodder for the hype machine.
- thebruce87m 3y agoI wonder if they have fixed the emergency call issues, or will it appear on the list: https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/y039zn/i_compiled_all_the_pixel_911emergency_call/ https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/y039zn/i_compi...
- hgsgm 3y agoThese Pro phones are turning from flagships into flagpoles. I don't know how people who aren't pro basketball players can handle these phones. Even the "mini" Pixel 'a' phones are huge now.
- waych 3y agoIMO, Google used to be way better back when they had a policy against pre-announcing (15+ years ago). There was something magical about being able to announce and delight at the same time. Now it's become just a dumb game of showing their cards and playing catch up to the competition. Lazy hype marketing.
