Some decades back I had worked at several different McDonald's and the ice cream machines were a major thing because so much revenue came from them. The machines were cleaned on schedule and the rare times they broke there was someone out the next day to get it working again. As a customer, I can only recall one time when I wanted McDonald's ice cream that the machine wasn't working. I'm curious to know if my experience is an outlier or maybe things have changed. Or perhaps some franchises don't put as high a priority on the ice cream, or perhaps even the claims are a bit exaggerated. Or maybe something else that I'm not considering.
