On systemd-based systems: in /etc/systemd/logind.conf: HandleLidSwitch=ignore HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=ignore HandleLidSwitchDocked=ignore Then: systemctl restart systemd-logind In addition, some desktop environments may also trigger suspend. If so, there should be options in the power settings menu.
