I never tried to put on the trade (thank goodness) but there was a period of years where Tesla looked like the equity was going to $0. I think as a matter of traditional corporate finance, that was indisputably true, but obviously it did not work out that way in practice. God bless the short sellers, they’re made of sterner stuff than I am.
