Very reasonable prices are $40 + 8% coop fee for a standard large pizza? That's almost $50 after tax. https://asliceofny.com/sunnyvale/menu/ https://asliceofny

- laweijfmvo 3y agoA large cheese is $25, and 18” is quite large. Expensive maybe but it’s legitimately good pizza as other have said.
- reducesuffering 3y agoSure, i'm not commenting on the tastiness. Just that I remember balking at the $40 I spent for a pizza there, and am surprised that anyone thinks the prices are "reasonable" when it's likely one of the most expensive pizza places in the entire country.
- magicalist 3y agoI mean: http://www.pizzamyheart.com/menu/ http://www.pizzamyheart.com/menu/ Maybe there's more to the prices than the co-op structure?
- hot_gril 3y agoIt's still less, even without the 8% fee which they explicitly say is because it's a co-op.
- syedkarim 3y agoAs a reference point: An 18” Whole Foods pizza is $15 at full price and $10 on Fridays.
- dragonwriter 3y agoA “standard large pizza” is 14", the size of their small; 16" is a common extra-large size, their large is 18” (1.65× the size of a “standard large pizza”, by area.) $43.20 ($40+8%) is quite reasonable for an 18" multiple topping pizza.
- reducesuffering 3y agoThanks for helping remind me of the Bay Area / tech wealth bubble. Meanwhile the first pizza place I find with good reviews elsewhere in the country has a 18" multi topping for $25, and two 16" for $37.
- theogravity 3y agoYeah, that is pretty steep. Bibo's NY Pizza in San Jose has $23 for a 20" (XL) with no toppings. https://www.bibosnypizzamenu.com/?product_id=6167820 https://www.bibosnypizzamenu.com/?product_id=6167820
- SV_BubbleTime 3y agoI do enjoy these moments. When they thing someone writes says something so clearly besides the words they used.
- detourdog 3y agoPatsy's on 119th in NYC large and small pizzas were the same size but the number of slices was greater in a large pizza.
- hot_gril 3y agoMan. They ask for a tip on top of the co-op fee too, despite it being take-out. Fugget about it.
