I suspect there'll also be a ton of people who suffer from hearing damage because 3M hid the truth about their faulty product but who never join a class action, and that for many (if not most) who do try to get compensation whatever "payout" they get will be nothing compared to what they've lost. Hearing loss is probably something most of us will deal with at some point, and I've spoken to a lot of people who are already dealing with it and every one of them wishes they'd had more time with good hearing. It changes their daily lives and limits their ability to experience and interact with the world around them.
