Why would parents not have the right to know what is going on with their child at school? And why would this knowledge - as they assert - cause harm to the child?
- hindsightbias 3y agoFrom the article: “In the 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey, 10% of respondents said that an immediate family member had been violent toward them because they were transgender, and 15% ran away from home or were kicked out of their home because they were transgender. And fewer than one-in-three transgender and gender nonbinary youth found their home to be gender-affirming.” Surely no consequences being outed to your family.
- NoZebra120vClip 3y agoIf 50% of children were abused because they earned an "F" in a class and 80% ran away from home because of bad grades, are these good reasons to conceal facts from a child's parents, or perhaps address the root cause instead?
