> “I acknowledge and understand Chess.com’s report, including its statement that there is no determinative evidence that [Hans Niemann] cheated in his game against me at the Sinquefield Cup,” said [Magnus Carlsen]. “I am willing to play Niemann in future events, should we be paired together.”
Sounds like Niemann won and Carlsen couldn't prove anything.
- ahazred8ta 3y agoIn the 16-Aug-2022 game, Niemann played at his normal strength, but Carlsen played weakly. He was really mad at Niemann for his online cheating and it affected his game. During the pandemic Nieman got a massive amount of online practice and became a stronger player but his otb rating did not change, so now he appears to be playing above his official skill level.
