Turning websites into animated videos
Would love to try the tool on new apps, feel free to share your website, and we'll make a new video for you
- good8675309 3y agoThis could be really useful if it allows me to quickly highlight features by embedding short clips throughout my marketing site. Just joined the waitlist and shared my saas app.
- dreadlordbone 3y agoI would like to try it, but it's a different use case (more website showcase demos, not apps). Does that fit into your product?
- sum1ren 3y agolet's definitely give it a try :) what's ur app name, I'll build a demo of it and send it over (also feel free to email me the app name at hello@minidemo.app instead)
- dinkleberg 3y agoThis is cool. If it is just animating things sort of randomly or based on when elements load I don’t see great real world use out of it. But if it captures all of the elements and allows you to edit what shows when and record actions against elements this could prove useful in tutorial videos.
- sum1ren 3y agothe latter is definitely the long term vision. Today we do capture the elements, but do some sort of 'automated' (tree traversal) to produce the video. Would definitely love to give future users even more fine grained control
- AugurCognito 3y agoIn the phone view, there's nothing in the hamburger menu.
- sum1ren 3y agothanks for raising this, there is currently nothing in the nav bar, but seems that hamburger menu is still there, I'll remove it :)
- dang 3y agoAs pvg pointed out downthread, waitlists can't be Show HNs. Please see https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html. I've taken Show HN out of the title now. Waitlists don't make great HN submissions generally, so please don't post them. Instead, post once there's something for people to try out, or at least something more interesting than a waitlist.
- sum1ren 3y agoright I see, gotcha. I'll repost as a ShowHN when I remove the waitlist next time
