MastApple//C, a Mastodon client for the Apple II (//C and ][e)
- Joeri 3y agoI will never use this and yet I love that it exists.
- nolan879 3y agoI love that you have created a way to use HomeAssistant with your AppleII, do you have any screenshots of it running?
- colinlm 3y agoThere are two on this page https://www.colino.net/wordpress/archives/2023/02/07/accessing-the-internet-with-an-apple-c/ https://www.colino.net/wordpress/archives/2023/02/07/accessi... (Climate stats and graph)
- cpressland 3y agoThis is the kinda stuff I love, I spent weeks learning how to get a Macintosh Classic online so I could use it as an IRC client. Unfortunately it didn’t last long as the CRT flicker drove me a bit mad, but it was insanely fun project.
- some-guy 3y agoNot sure about the Mac Classic, but I've found that 75hz or higher refresh rates reduces eye strain on CRTs. I was able to achieve that with the Powermac 7200 all-in-one recently (though albeit at a lower resolution)
- UtopiaPunk 3y agoomg, it does images, too? Absolutely pointless, beautiful work here :D
- retrocryptid 3y agoI guess this means I have to remember my mastodon login. I'm a sucker for new software for Apple//c's.
- KillenBoek 3y agoI still regret the fact I gave my Apple //c away some 30 years ago. I am dying to try this.
- kirubakaran 3y agoYou could buy one on eBay. When I moved to the US, I had to leave my beloved Apple //c behind, but I was able to just buy one here for less than $100
- colinlm 3y agoHey folks! As the author of this, I'm touched by your kind words in the comments! I feel like I should quote some of you on the clients' page, because some of these comments really reflect on the reasons I wrote this.
