I grew up in the third world, upper class, and we would take antiparasites every year. Just in case. If you are eating undercooked/raw meat or fish and stuff, if you're eating at restaurants, etc... there's no reason not to. It blows my mind people don't disinfect, not just wash, produce in the US.
