I expect $38k is enough to set up a proper trust to run indefinitely. I would assume that any company offering this sort of approach would have a trust set up to ensure it can keep its promise. (Ex: invest in S&P and draw off 3% each year to cover maintenance and upkeep) That’s how I would do it, at least. The fact that Wordpress doesn’t detail anything like this has me doubting though.
