Many properties are not "given", but managed in trust. As in the above example, while Baconsfield Park lasted for over half a century, control was reverted (wrongly) to the heirs, and the land was sold off.
- masfuerte 3y agoThat's the point. Rich people are free to make generous benefactions but they'd rather retain control and when that's impossible they whinge that society is limiting their generosity.
