Interesting. More than the code i'd be curious to know how they operate because it seems high quality / high velocity, which is very impressive.

Appreciate your kind words. Our secret is that we just type really fast.

I think there was a blog post by the site owner about how it's ran (also linked in dang's comment) https://annas-blog.org/how-to-run-a-shadow-library.html https://annas-blog.org/how-to-run-a-shadow-library.html

Thanks, that's great. I'm also curious about how they collaborate because they seem to have low friction work.

I wanted to pay for annas-archive membership, but they only accept bitcoins, which is not legal in my country.
- hggh 3y ago
They will never know (if you do it right)
- fragmede 3y ago
Is Annas-archive legal in your country? Even if it is, is it moral? If it isn't, why are you comfortable breaking those laws, but when the time comes to support the site, and put your money where your mouth is, suddenly there are laws that are necessary to follow?

Morals are subjective, and this is not the place to preach. The charges for “donating money” and “money laundering” are absolutely worlds apart, and conflating them is disingenuous.

The day Anna's archive goes will be sad, I'm glad they opensource it so that other relays will come up
