I was home schooled back in 2001. My parents didn't do the teaching, instead, we had a satellite dish that we installed to pick up some conservative right wing curriculum and recorded it on VHS tapes that I was supposed to watch. I didn't actually watch most of it, I'd usually fast forward through it and spend my time watching local news channels instead. My real education at the time was coming from the hands on experiences I had in real life, which was far more useful (and less propaganda-filled) than any curriculum could have been.
