- mindcrime 3y agoHeh. Funny that... I subscribe to Michael Penn's channel, but had not seen that video. However, it was another video[1] that led me to looking at the Quantum Derivative earlier tonight. [1]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfWgfZ5V2qI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfWgfZ5V2qI
- mbivert 3y agoFWIW, there's another video[0] on M. Penn's channel about it, but members only (I'm merely subscribed, so I don't know if they are related); it's pleasant to have that kind of high-quality content so easily available. Hard to watch everything he publishes: he's rather productive... I've stumbled upon the video about the new "definition" of a derivative a few hours ago too; would definitely not have thought of doing it this way. But as others have noted in the comments, a reason why it may not be so popular as the usual ones, is the difficulty to generalize it. Still happy to know about it. - mindcrime 3y agoNot 100% sure, but I support his channel on Patreon so I theoretically have access to all his content. And on Patreon only one video shows up for "Quantum Derivative" and his approximately the same upload date as the video linked here. Looking at the run-time and the thumbnails, etc. I think they are the same video. Maybe he releases his "members only" content to the public after some time delay? Or maybe it was an oversight? Not sure.
- mbivert 3y agoNo I think you're right (that's why I initially mentioned it): I remember seing the members only video and thinking "ah, that could have interested me", only to randomly later find in my feeds another "Quantum Derivative" video by him. The subject/title are likely attractive enough for him to have decided to open access to it.
