Who determines if someone is a criminal or not? Do we have a perfect mechanism for it? Can we trust the algorithm to not harass or harm innocent people? Unfortunately no. There is a reason police need a warrant from a judge before they are allowed to search or detain someone. Same should apply to AI systems.
