There are many similar places in North America and Europe. The main differences are that they don't want to be "cities with thousands of new homes" and they usually are not owned by investors.
- fh973 3y agoI wonder how something like zoning works in this case. How would they be allowed to build anything in farmland? And it they got permission before, of course it raises prices.
- mkl95 3y agoIt sounds similar to those towns built by oil drilling and mining companies back in the day. I wonder how much zoning laws have evolved ever since.
