Wouldn’t it be nice if we could set union the rights of all sides of any border vertex/line and use that as the baseline of understanding? I’m not sure how rights to property would play out in this regime, but it may still be useful to think about it like this. Imagine being detained at the border. Human rights advocates would argue strongly that you still have a right to a speedy and fair trial, for example.
