And yet despite the sheer number of USB-C devices I own at all ends of the cost scale, this has only ever happened to my 2017 Macbook Pro.
And on the male side, Apple dutifully makes up for the claimed robustness of the connector by making some of the worst cables.
- ravenstine 3y agoNearly every USB-C connector I've used, on multiple devices of different manufacturers, has eventually encountered problems. Google's connectors are particularly bad. I'm not even doing anything like tripping on the cables. > And on the male side, Apple dutifully makes up for the claimed robustness of the by making some of the worst cables. Hahaha Assuming I know what you are talking about, yes, their cables suck. The plastic/rubber degrades way faster than other cables, turning yellow and eventually splitting open after just a few years.
