Currently, I have two iPads: relatively modern mini and the 3rd (first model with retina, iOS 9). Mini collects dust for years, I never use it (yet unwilling to sell). The 3rd one still rocks YouTube in Safari, its basically a TV with batteries. I use it at kitchen, e.g. when I cook. Both of my iPads never leave my home. I am an avid traveller (before the pandemic) and even then I never took my iPad out of my house. I do travel with my MacBook Pro (with Linux these days), Kindle and a couple of smartphones (I use both iPhone and Android). I don’t see any need in an iPad at all.
