Things missing about the DSA from the Guardian article as well as wikipedia:
the DSA also requires mandatory cell phone registration for pornographic content creators, posing a threat to digital privacy. Also, no further improvements were made to ensure the independence of "trusted" flaggers of content, which can be law enforcement agencies or biased copyright industry associations. Even worse, non-judicial authorities can order the removal of problematic content and request platforms to hand over sensitive user information without proper fundamental rights safeguards. - https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2022/01/dsa-eu-parliaments-position-ensures-free-internet-human-rights-safeguards-need-be https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2022/01/dsa-eu-parliaments-pos...
What is this "problematic" content? Per wikipedia, Swedish MEP Jessica Stegrud argued that the DSA's focus on preventing the spread of disinformation and "harmful content" would undermine freedom of speech. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Services_Act https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Services_Act
"Disinformation and harmful content", meaning harmful content that is accurate is also prohibited by this act? And presumably all EU member states agree on which content is accurate but harmful? Is there a list somewhere describing this accurate but harmful content?
