A List Apart still has one of the most calm and readable websites on the Internet. It is perfect and it should never change.

  Is the huge title background supposed to be obscured by the menu? That doesn't look right to me. Even apart from that the whole design looks off. Too many font sizes. Unwarranted visual emphasis; who cares if there are no comments yet? I'm not going to comment to 'fix it'. And "Become a patron" is capitalized but "no comments yet" is not. This is not a site I would turn to for advice.

    Yeah I just tried to scroll up since it looks cut off.

    It’s been like that for a long time and it’s an intentional design element. They could get away with it because the site used to a bible for most web designers and had huge brand recognition
