A Dao of Web Design (2000)
- hypertexthero 3y agoGood to read this article again from time to time. Redarding the Tao Te Ching, my favorite translation is this one: https://terebess.hu/english/tao/gia.html https://terebess.hu/english/tao/gia.html
- blueridge 3y agoA List Apart still has one of the most calm and readable websites on the Internet. It is perfect and it should never change.
- esafak 3y agoIs the huge title background supposed to be obscured by the menu? That doesn't look right to me. Even apart from that the whole design looks off. Too many font sizes. Unwarranted visual emphasis; who cares if there are no comments yet? I'm not going to comment to 'fix it'. And "Become a patron" is capitalized but "no comments yet" is not. This is not a site I would turn to for advice.
- perilunar 3y ago"We have turned off comments, but you can see what folks had to say before we did so." That doesn't seem right. I recall that the article was quite popular at the time and that there were lots of comments.
