I fail to see how this is useful at all. arxiv is free to publish.
Using NFTs is quite pointless. The problem of immutable research paper does not exist. The authors' names will be on the paper. It does not matter if the PDF is immutable or some id on the blockchain pointing to a PDF is immutable.
>new users can claim 100 free SCI tokens
Most certainly not a utility token but an unregistered security.
- fekry 3y agoThank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I appreciate the skepticism, and I'd like to address your concerns: While arXiv is indeed a fantastic platform for free publishing, We aim to offer additional benefits such as decentralization and direct control for authors. We're not just about publishing but also about creating a community-driven ecosystem that rewards and recognizes scientific contributions. & Our SCI tokens are designed to facilitate transactions within the ScieNFT platform and encourage community engagement. We're mindful of legal considerations and are working diligently to comply with relevant regulations. it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. We believe, however, that it opens up new possibilities for collaboration, transparency, and innovation in scientific publishing. I'm here to continue the conversation and would be happy to discuss further if you're interested. Thanks again for engaging with us!
