Hollywood studios agree AI-generated content should not reduce humans' pay
- salawat 3y agoDoesn't change things for Actors though, even if the writers get that concession. Rights to likeness and provisions restricting use of that likeness as part of a training set for creating a "synthetic" actor/avatar should be at the top of any negotiation. In fact, it honestly shouldn't even be a negotiation. No one should put themselves out there without charging exorbitantly since given the immortality of corporations, the potential value extracted by the studio vould approach infinite. Just because studios want to not have to pay people and just rand up some people, doesn't mean they should be able to. If the executives desirous of such power would like to make the training set themselves, have at. However, I'm fairly sure once they figure out how legitimately hard acting is, their tune would rapidly change as well.
