I beleive it is pronounced Took-ee-ayy. It's Turkish for Turkey so I can't see why non-Turks would be using that pronunciation. I don't say Spain in Spanish i.

Not a Turkish speaker, but I believe it’s closer to tur-kee-yeh. It’s pronounced almost the same in Arabic.
