“That little island changes everything”
- yellow_lead 3y agoThese seem like sticky notifications on Android. Did iOS not have these?
- macintosh-hd 3y agoIt did not. Does the android version sit on the Lock Screen too? From my brief research it also appears to have less freedom with design, but I might just have not found a good example of a custom one. I believe the reason for this difference might be the differences in how iOS manages push notifications, which are way more restricted as background processes than Android.
- yellow_lead 3y agoI'm not sure. They're definitely different, but share some common elements. Android push notifications are quite restricted as well.
- macintosh-hd 3y agoI find all of the work that went into a feature like this fascinating. (Especially the driver ETA progress bar) So many little considerations, and the process is explained really well.
