- seedless-sensat 3y agoThe author also mentions Neon is the first "pioneer" to do disaggregated storage. It is mentioned in the 2006 Bigtable paper, and probably earlier than that too.
- butlerm 3y agoDatabases like Oracle Parallel Server were doing disaggregated storage more than a decade before that.
