Starts off making an attempt but very quickly drops the thin guise of objectivity to reveal the author's position.
There are many things in this world that are 'dystopian', 'grotesque', 'revolting', and so on. Gambling. Gun ownership. The Korean obsession with shaving jawbones for beauty for example. Or skin bleaching, common throughout Asia. I don't see why this particular issue is special. This is consenting adults consenting to things, just like all of those things. This will advance medical science, that is, the practical application of surgery and the refinement of techniques and technology therein, whether we like it or not, just like R&D for war, pressure to miniaturize mobile phones and batteries, or Korean plastic surgery no doubt has.
Unlike those things, this is a niche issue. If we cut to volumes, the volumes of people likely to get hurt assuming a 100% failure rate here, are small. The numbers of people having SRS today are small. This is a sad, mean person. Not the author, now, no, we're talking you, submittor: Blenheim. Reviewing your submissions and the fact that your account is an alt, your obsession with transgender people is noted. I feel only pity for you.
If you should ever have a delicate surgery to save your life, ponder on whose backs it is you stand upon.
My impression is that submissions from this site should be automatically flagged.
- blenheim 3y agoThanks, but your pity is not required. Perhaps you should look within, and consider why you have such a strong emotional reaction when reading words of dissent from a woman who objects to women being objectified and potentially used as if a source of spare parts for covetous men.
