It very much seems like it should fall foul of cruel and unusual punishment protections.
But I guess that the problem with wording it that way is that maybe bankrupting an individual for life isn't considered cruel and unusual anymore.
- SOLAR_FIELDS 3y agoIt is really sad. I’m sure the world isn’t coming out to support Gary Bowser because there are many others who are actual victimless criminals they make better examples of system injustice. But what happened to him sets a really nasty precedent. I hope that the system eventually comes back and makes a more sane determination
