I am also not getting what the mystery is here. Why should we expect a terrific degree of accuracy on what our personal accent would sound like if we took a different course in life and actually learned that language so well we spoke like a native speaker? Isn't this technology sophisticated and impressive enough that we can speak into it and get our own voice speaking that language as a native speaker would based on our vocal patterns? That has tremendous utility.
