The "ugly numbers" boil down to Bing failing to gain market share, and ChatGPT reporting 10% fewer visitors on their site in June. Both of these numbers do not, in fact, reveal AI demand is shrinking. There are dozens of other sites offering products similar to ChatGPT, and most people with serious needs have already switched to APIs and/or are exploring with their own in-house model. This article boils down to wishful thinking from an author who clearly despises AI.
