"Get organized in your community" seems just as vague as "we need to change" when the response requires global action, in my opinion. Reading and commenting on articles is how many people process and understand the contents of the articles and fit it in to their framework when deciding what actions are "constructive" and which are "destructive". Coming to terms with the idea that our quality of life might need to lower in order to continue at all is something we all need to consider. It's not unfair to vocalize that.
