My understanding of the future evolution of AI is following:
ANI (GPT/AlphaGo/Dalle/StableDiffusion) -> AGI (something having bank account, ability to own some businesses and nation) -> something conscious -> ASI (which gonna tell us good-bye losers).
But since the definition of "consciousness" is something hard to define, hard problem of consciousness - you may put this point of evolution not in the place I use to put it in and have a different outcomes.
