  Anecdotally, it's been a very long time since I've seen an actual document sent to me. Across multiple companies, it's always been an office or google docs link. There are close to no compelling reasons for a company to email document attachments around these days.

    Really? Because I'm still being sent documents frequently by a lot of people. And the number of PDFs I get sent that are originally Word documents is huge.
