Summing the net worth, total assets, and assets under management of Zuckerberg, Musk, Thiel, Andreessen, Meta, Palantir, Paypal, Tesla, and Andreessen Horowitz, one gets $729.2 billion. This is certainly an over-estimate, since by counting e.g. Meta and Zuckerberg's assets independently, we're double-counting their wealth. The famous Rothschild family is estimated to be worth around $400 billion [1,2] (oddly, the Snopes article on their wealth debunks one too-high claim of it, but doesn't replace it with any other number, except the yearly revenue of one of their businesses [3]). The top 4 asset management firms manage $26.3 trillion [4]. While this is not the same as owning those assets, it still makes them exceptionally powerful. Compared to them, the wealth of these billionaires and banking families is a rounding error.
