From my limited experience they seem to have shifted to OKRs, which are pretty much the same thing with a different name, at least for the companies I've worked for. I hate it just as much. Currently two of my OKRs for this quarter based on what I thought a project was going to be and have since discovered I was wrong, so they don't actually matter and I'll have limited opportunity to achieve them. Great, so now they get a fun data point can point to in order to give me a smaller bonus next year.
