One of the truths I've come across over my years is that almost without fail whenever code is mentioned, someone will come across to show how it could be done better. I haven't seen it in this thread, yet, but generally there will be someone who will maximize how badly it could also be done, usually using Java and invoking "Enterprise coding" memes.
