China’s Spying on Australian Drills from Space Sign of Shifting Orbital Balance
- hunglee2 3y agothere are no spy balloons over Australia, we need to stop exaggerating the China threat
- ggm 3y agoExcuse me? There hasn't been persisting sat based surveillance of Chinese, Russian, French, British, NATO and Comecon, basically all other nation states wargames since .. I mean not to "whataboutery" but all that's shifted here are orbits, not intent, by any nation state with launch capability. Reading history, post napoleonic armies used to ask each other to send military legates from the official embassy staff to observe troop manoeuvres. This was part of what the Dreyfus affair was about. Information about French field exercises leaked. Maybe we could ask PLA staff officers to come and join in? Then we wouldn't have to panic about microsats falling out of orbit.
