Interesting, your passport cannot contain an ø (in the machine readable part). What is the allowed character set for names on a credit card?

  That's interesting. I'd never thought of it before. I just tried to find images, but can't find any example credit cards with non "Roman" lettering, just like passports. It sucks because the transliterations for some languages are so far off the native pronunciations.

    Well, my credit and debit cards have my actual name printed on them, "ø" and everything.
