  Yes. Many restaurants in the United States do not accept Apple Pay, Android Pay, Venmo or Zelle. Every restaurant accepts a credit card, which makes that the option with the least friction.

      Well that’s precisely my point. Whether or not an innovation sticks isn’t just a function of how innovative it is. The entrenchment of personal habits and the entrenchment of industry mean that there is a threshold which needs to be cleared. In the case of banking and payments, that threshold is pretty high.
