Recruiters are a barrier between you and ground truth. If your resume is in demand and expected salary is high enough they can keep the pipeline full. If it is not and most likely you are reaching out to them, instead of the opposite, then you are simply running from the truth.

- wuming2 3y agoReasons because you are appealing to potential employers or not. I witnessed terrible candidates being successfully pitched to large corporations. Because candidates knew how to game the story telling and recruiters wanted the commission worth one month of a high salary. Conversely weaker candidates, for whatever reason, are simply idled without any feedback. If this is the case you are much better off contacting potential employers directly to find out why. Ground truth.
