parallel --embed > parallel.sh
Then store that in your source repo and use it wherever shells are used!
- em500 3y agoOn Debian 11.7: $ parallel --embed > parallel.sh Unknown option: embed [edit] Ran it in Ubuntu 22.04, it does output a bash script ... which still depends on Perl.
- commonlisp94 3y agoisn't perl always installed?
- philkrylov 3y agoIt is not, at least on FreeBSD and NetBSD.
- dpkirchner 3y agoWould this taint the other code in your repo with the GPL? I'd guess it would depend on how it is distributed.
- klyrs 3y agoIf you're running on your private build infra, it's fine. If you're pushing that repo to somewhere public, it's now GPL.
- OJFord 3y agoTo install parallel, first run parallel --embed?
